Application Development Vs Technology Consulting? |
Can any one explain me difference between application development Vs Technology consulting? I am under impression that Technology consulting deals with understanding business problem and giving a technical solution. Where as in application development the bigger picture will be missing. Okay you have this kind of right though in a confusing way. Application Development involves going to the client, finding out what the needs are, and changing the software so that it fits their individual needs. Technology Consulting on the other hand, gives the client the hardware they need to run the said application, and heads them towards the right software systems. Let us say that you own a grocery store. The Tech consultant hooks you up with a POS (point of sale) system, the cash drawers and software. to run in the front end. Then the Application Development team comes in to personalize that POS system to meet your store's needs, such as Name, Tx rate, location, phone number, etc. Basically everything you see printed on a receipt from any store was created by the Application Development team. Think of Tech Con as hardware and min. software, as App Dev as software to make the hardware perform better. Hope this helps |
