Hi I am Software Professional working in MNC. Can MBA(supply chain management) help my carrier?

Do a little research. If you are a Software developer of analyst and want to stick to IT i think you should get a MBA in Systems. But if you want to move into a different field then you should pick up a different stream.
For a ERP consultant its really not important to get MBA degree.
Cheers !!

A big yes! I'm also a software professional working in an MNC and planning to pursue my MBA abroad. As per my research in most popular sites regarding education and career planning, its very important to strike out a balance between many important factors like years of experience, finance options, field of specialization, season when you complete your degree (Spring or Fall), etc. Supply Chain management is a very good option. The reason is because India with its large population houses lots of retailers and attracting few other big shots from abroad. It can be safely assumed that India will be the growing hub for retail market and supply chain management. My suggestion would be that you plan all these factors well in advance and strike out the right time to pursue your MBA. Universities' rankings might now always speak the truth. It all depends on the students' perceptions. There are so many openings and opportunities in IT industry itself, in the form of consultancy and other job categories. Hence you can be very sure that something good is up ahead for you in your path for reaching new heights.

Yes, definitely, nowadays many of the students after finishing MBA(supply chain) get jobs in ERP/ SAP/ Computer-Aided SCM /Consultancy type of jobs. In such cases, a person like you can leverage your IT as well as management skills

Good institutes for MBA (SCM) are
1) NITIE, Vihar Lake, Mumbai
2) SPJIMR, Mumbai
3) IIMA, Mumbai

An MBA with any concentration can help, and therefore one with a supply chain concentration can as well. However, keep in mind that the MBA is a general degree preparing student for any area of management.
