Where can I get experience? |
I am a sophmore Computer Science Major. I dont have any experience with Java, C++, or C#. I have a little experience with HTML and Visual Basic. My classes are just starting Java this fall. Ive looked for internships for software development and they are looking with someone with more experience. Where can I get some? Should I just learn as I go? Cant there be something outside the classroom? Any help would be great! Thanks in advance! All my Java experience I initially got from my Freshman CSci course. You learn all the basic syntax and programming practices, and they should (if you're in college) offer some pretty difficult projects. I got an internship this summer, and had to design some programs in Java, which is our company's standard. I downloaded Eclipse and NetBeans, and learned as I went. Once you have the basics down, it's easy to pick up more difficult tasks. If you have a drive to learn, and time to experiment, I wouldn't worry. Learn as you go, yes. But for more experience, then just make programs yourself, think of something coold, and do it. Get a job at Micros-Retail |
