CS or Software Engineering?

Hi im a in my last year at college and i want to do game development when im older. I was wondering, is it better to do a degree in CS or Software Engineering? which one would help the most? do they teach you about graphics and how to develop games in the SE degree? here in Australia, CS takes 3 years while SE takes 4 years.

srry guys, not looking to make games on phones but for pc and consoles

Games are typically programmed in C++. You can learn most of it on your own.

You can start learning C++ with these video tutorials:
http://xoax.net/comp/cpp/console/index.p...

They are perfect for beginners. This one can get you started by showing you how to install a free compiler:

Here are some simple games with code downloads that you can use to get some ideas:

These tutorials can get you started with graphics programming in OpenGL:
http://xoax.net/comp/cpp/opengl/index.ph...

You can go through the tutorials and if you have questions on them or anything else in C++, please post to me here:

Best of luck!

If I was you I would get in on iPhone software development so that you can cover gaming and software engineering
