Running development versions of Ubuntu as well as the Final releases. Am I the only one that does it?

The past couple of nights I have been tweaking both Hardy (Alpha 6) and Hardy (Beta) to the extent where they both have the stability of the Final Release Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.
Do you run development software as well.

No, but remember that Fedora is the Testing version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Debian, from which Ubuntu is derived is available in Stable (Etch) Testing (Lenny) and Unstable (Sid) flavors.

It may not be common for Ubuntu users but canonical has tried to market itself outside the traditional linux market while providing a product which can certainly satisfy many of the traditional Linux users. On most distros most people run testing software unless they REALLY like their current configuration.

Well if you are updating them you arent runnig development software anymore you have upgraded yourself to 8.04 stable
