.NET book for a Electronic Engineer to understand the basics?


Hi Guys,

Am an Electronics Engineer working on Automatic Identification Technology. I need to learn the basics about .NET tech as my new responsibility is to help our software development team to interact the hardwares with the applications. Can anyone please suggest me a book, or a website to understand some basic concepts on .NET? I am not going to program or code anything, I just want to involve only in the integaration part.

I can think of a couple books that would be good to have. They may go a bit indepth for the purposes you will use them for but they are definitely a good start. Both have loads of examples and start from the very basics.

Many schools use this book:
