What are the Job oppertunities in Software Programming in VB? |
I am 30 years old, B.E.(Production),Cdac,M.C.M. The prospects are excellent. Your skill set sounds limited in terms of outright coding experience, but you would probably be able to find work through any number of avenues. the prospects are good only if you do programming in Vb.net and also learn XML and ASP.net Honestly, i haven't seen many shops looking for VB6 developers. Alot of the industry is based in C/C++, and most shops are switch over to Java and the .NET framework. Albeit the .NET framework does encompus VB.NET, i think C# is definately the strongest leader in that area. All in all, knowning vb is fine, but i'd suggest you get some other languages and skills under your belt and ultimately have great problem solving skills to be able to solve any problem any any tools at your disposle (java, vb.net,c#,etc...) With your limited programming I'd consider Java or C# as they will open more doors with better pay than VB itself will. |
