When implementing a bottom-up software strategy what testing techniques can I use?

In software development, what are the techniques that I can use in Bottom-Up testing?
I know there are:- Stubs, Test Driver, Validation and Pseudocode. Is it all of them or one of them?

pragmatically I would hate to eliminate any of them. There are probably instances where all of them would be useful.

In general though (and assuming that you are asking about module testing - not system testing) bottom up testing would involve a test driver to drive each of the modules and their lower level modules. Top down testing would involve stubs. Hiwever there are instances in bottom up where for simplicity sometimes the test driver would drive a module that has stubs attached.

If you are answering a test question then a test driver is the right answer.
