Software test position? |
i have a software degree, but my work experience is in tech support. Theres a junior s/w testing position, but its still asking for at least 12mths experience in IT development, testing or production support. For a junior QA position, I look for people who either know the business or are familiar with the application(s) being tested. That, along with a little IT experience such as tech support, is a qualified candidate. So, it sounds like you're already qualified. When you get the interview, focus on communicating your business and analytical skills. Software testing is a new area for you. Contact the ASQ or QAI web-sites to find a local chapter. |
