How do I get a Human Resource job in the USA or Canada?

I have 2 yrs work experience in the HR field in a small IT Software development company in India. I am seriously looking out to work in the US or Canada. What doese it take to get a job there? What do they look for while offering a job to an international candidate?
Please help me out.

The first obstacle is going to be obtaining a work visa. Very few companies if any are going to offer sponsorship for a candidate who requires a work visa and does not have significant work experience.

I would recommend looking into visa's first and trying to get that resolved yourself. Once you have permission to work in the USA you should be able to find a position much easier.
