Does jailbreaking your ipodtouch, voids your warranty with Apple?

I know that Apple is developing a software development app for the ipod touch coming in feb this year, however i want to know is it ok if I jailbreak my ipodtouch now so that i can get the third party apps that i want without having to wait for Apple to release it. And if i jailbreak my ipodtouch does the future firmware updates brick my ipodtouch?

no the future updates will not brick you ipod, and it most likely wont void your warranty, because if anything happens you can restore your iPod on itunes.. and if its restored and it doesnt work, then u can take it to apple and they wont even know its been jailbroken
