I already have a B.A. and am looking to transition into IT - what courses/degrees do I need to start out?

I have a B.A. in Political Science and want to move into software development. What would be the minimum technical education that I'd need to get an entry level job? Are online technical degrees looked at favorably by employers?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You do NOT need another degree. Your existing 4-year degree plus cert will be fine.
