Murphy's Law, "Anything that can go wrong will and does," guarantees nothing except our frustration at what we thought we had accomplished and found out, 'Oh, crap! I was wrong again."

Murphy probably wouldn't have a clue about it. If he's sober, he's probaly hungover. If he's drunk, he doesn't care either way. His 'old lady's' gonna beat him with a broom handle if he spent the rent again.

The paradox of progress is that it serves the least among us. World-view, office-view, --some one will set the lowest standard and this will limit the maximum progress. This is enforced by the economic concept of the tragedy of the commons. If a person is taking too much from the commons, even the spiritual commons of good will, others will grab their diminishing share. I think this is done because people will not tolerate someone reaping what they do not sow, therefore for they will do without things, --like good will. I notice changes are very rapid in office culture and most people seem to adapt without fully being aware of what they are doing. I have seen some pretty low spots and the change seemed unreal.
