Will There be a scope of software engineering in future in India?

I am a student of Class X and i have decided my aim for becoming a software engineer, but the problem after i consulted some teachers came that they say, there will b no scope for software engineers after 2-3 years in india as the market will be full and they'll need no more engineers..... i m worried about choosing my aim now, guys nd girls, plz suggest me what shud i do???

do not change ur aim as of now, may b after 2-3 yrs there may not b a field called s/w engg, there would b a diff profile but the stream would b same for eg may b nanotech would hav captured the market but u wil b devloping s/w to interface with those nano bots.....

i was really surprised to see ur q, wen i was in ur age my aim was just to score marks, i did not think abt my carrer...but u r too proactive..am extremely happy to see ur q...

Depends on what kind of future India has got

For becoming software engineer, their is no need to study at all especially in india,
For example you can be PHP programmer,
for that you just need to read some pages
in book, even commerce or arts students can also do that and easily get job

The company in which i am working has
so many commerce students calling themselves as software engineer and having
increment more than real software engineer
gets, i don't know how they done this without brain
so funny things happens in india
