Can i get coverage for my existing pregnancy? when i change my job?

Hi all,i m in serious concern choosing my benefit under my current employer.
I m an indivisual consultant and work for client through my consulting company.
My job is for only 8 months .now my consulting company gives me health benefits and it covers my Maternity.
we are planning for Baby and it may be happen within next 2 months.
My concern is if my job will be terminate after 8 months than i won't have coverage for my pre-exisitng pregenacy.
So i don't know what to do?
I know to look for full time permenent job is really best idea but i can't get it easily in end of the year ( i m in software)
i m little bit worry abt my baby plan
I m requesting you all plz assist me with my problem.
It will really help me out here to select my benefit plan

If you are with a job and you have already waited the appropriate days and the insurance kicks in and you are covered and then you get preg. you can leave the job, get fired, stay there---whatever and the ins has to cover you the length of your pregnancy even tho you are not working for the place you got the insurance through. I hope that makes sense. if worse comes to worse go to the state office, DCF or children and families and get medicaid for the preg. and the baby.
