My system(laptop) crashed due to missing dll file and my cdrom is not working .can anyone help me in booting?

my system gave an error that 'cdrom drivers were corrupted or missing'.so i tried reinstalling the drivers but it didn't work.i restored my comp to earlier state but it didn't work either.my pc is not connected to the internet at all;just to our college lan.i thought of reinstalling the OS and uninstalled previously installed softwares but when i rebooted it gave the error something like 'dll files needed for kernel.files missing.consult your support professional.'
my cd-rom is not working so i think i cannot load OS through any removable storage(cd-rom,floppy,usb).please help sort out the problem ?

yeh if not on internet dont think would be a bug so sounds like you need pro help.sorry

go to your computer dealer or to anyone specialized. don't try and DIY because you can do even more damage.

Sounds serious, good advice to let the pro.s handle this one.

You usually need to scrub the computer, unless you know what dll file is missing. DLL is the library language about that file.
I had to buy a new hard drive and reinstall all the software.
However that was by choice, due to the hard drive was not worth spending the money and time on.

i have found missing dll files in the cab files in win98 when they told me to install a disc i clicked on c: you don't mention what os you are using however if you know what files they are asking for you can find it in the zip cab files click on the file to open retry.then reboot. good luck
