Just curious...What is my voice type?

My voice is kind of weird. The tone of my voice doesn't really sound like one of a soprano's. My most stable notes are low G (below middle C) all the way up to the C above middle C. Basically, I am best at singing the middle notes. I tend to have a very strong voice in general. It's loud (not forced out at all), and it tends to project easily above other voices. I can go down to low F, but it doesn't sound that good. I can sing above C (above middle C), but it's very weak compared to the middle notes. I can go up to F, but it's not very loud. Whenever I sing D'es, E's, and F's, I feel as if something in my throat is pulling up, which blocks the openness/resonance of the sound (sort of hard to explain, but no I do not force them out). Then any notes higher than F are incredibly weak. I can hit them; but once again the whole pulling-thing-in-the-thorat diminishes the quality. But yes, I can go up to C6...it's just very weak, even if I'm lucky enough to avoid the pulling-throat-thing. I don't really like singing in the high register that much.
But, when I sing in character voice, it's a lot easier to hit the higher notes.
As for belting, I can easily go up to the C one octave above middle C.
And no, I have no vocal training. I am considering voice lessons, but I am still deciding.

congratulations! you're an Alto like me! I also have a lot of power in my voice, and with proper training, you can reach those notes that seem to be weak. voice lessons are definately worth it even if its with a director at your school or church. learning to breathe properly and how to open your mouth and placement of the tounge is key. good luck! keep singing!
