BIRD HELP! PLZ i need ur help bird ppl?

Ok well ive been training a small parakeet (i think is a parakeet, its the same size as a budgie) and it use to live in its cage outside until i started training it, it now lives in my room.

But the problem is that it has started to scratch its feathers a lot more then normal and seems very adjitated with its skin/feathers. Is it because now its in my room and i have the aircon on so it drys out tis skin? this might not sound like a huge problem but it is because this bird is part of a 9 month project for school :) if it dies im F**ked so plz help!!! is it getting sick???

To reliveve any discomfort bathe the bird i nluke warm water as this will soothe the skin. if it's been outside then it could have something like lice. Also not having the proper diet afffects their health including skin and feathers and also if it's bored it will start to pluck.

You really shouldn't keep a pet for a school project, they need someone to love and really care for them and as avian vets and medication are very costly I'd recommend giving the bird to a good home. I can't imagien that the school would condone keeping an animal for a project.

To be honest you sound like you don't know much about birds and are more bothered about it ruining your school project so please give it away to a good home.

Your bird is very bored, when it was outside it could see loads of things happening, now its stuck in your room with nothing to do,
I have an african Grey, Leave the radio on so it has somthing to listen to and put some toys in its cage,
You can also spray some warm water on it now and then, but it might just need a small tray so it can clean its self as birds love to be clean

check for lice and mites,

aircon.. dsnt harm them, all my canaries are in the same room as the ac and they are healthy, Also my previous tiel and lovies were in the same room and they were fine as well. I never keep my birds outside, I dont want them to contract lice or get hurt by a cat or squirrel.

take it to the vet to see what is wrong

Check to see if it has lice and if it does treat it with a parasite treatment.
If you are not confident enough to detect or treat lice take the bird to an avian vet and get them to check it over, that way they can diagnose the problem and treat it..
