How do you dim a part of an image in photoshop?

Okay, im in a bit of a pickle here.
Im editing this photo for a school project which needs to be handed in tomorrow.
This is what it looks like:

I've already used the clone tool to take out all the reflections from the window, but theres a part where i need to dim a certain part of the jumper to make it look like its fading into the dark.
Can anyone help me with this? or possibly even do it for me? :)

Use Layer Mask, Gradient, Foreground to Transparent.
