How can i start a recreational youth lacrosse team in my town?

I'm 16 years old, going to be a junior in high school next year. For my community service project i would like to start a youth lacrosse league in my town. I want it to be a league, similar to the youth soccer league, AYSO, that i have in my town. How do I start this? Who would i have to contact? Also, to be able to play games, the surrounding towns would also need to have teams. Where would i get the money to start the team? I need help!!!lol

What state are you located in? I am in South Jersey and we are in the process of starting a team for both boys & girls in our town. It helps that neighboring towns already have teams. First you should go to www.uslacrosse.org and check to see if there are any local chapters in your town. Speak with local reps (email is best) and they will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. Good luck!

go to a neighborhood club like ymca or something like that and suggest it, or maybe go to a middle school or high school and tell them your idea
