What is the Secret that the NASA and US Government trying to hide for the past 50 years?

They hide a secret from the world. Only a small group of people within the US government and NASA could access the information and material.

The Cover up:
A UFO crashed northwest of Roswell, New Mexico, in the summer of 1947. The military acted quickly and efficiently to recover the debris after its existence was reported by a ranch hand. The debris - unlike anything these highly trained men had ever seen - was flown without delay to at least three government installations. A cover story was concocted to explain away the debris and the flurry of activity. It was explained that a weather balloon, one with a new radiosonde target device, had been found and temporarily confused the personnel of the 509th Bomb Group. Government officials took reporters' notes from their desks and warned a radio reporter not to play a recorded interview with the ranch hand. The men who took part in the recovery were told never to talk about the incident. And with a whimper, not a bang, the Roswell event faded quickly from public view and press scrutiny.

The Hidden Truth -
In 1947, July 21. Top Scientists & Engineers are secretly call in to work on a project. A secret underground military installment in Nevada was used for that purpose in 1951. The materials they found are totally out of this world as described by the researchers.

The hardest substance known today is aggregated diamond nanorods, with a hardness over 12 of and a stiffness 1.11 of diamond. (A polyyne was discovered in 2005 which are 40 times harder than diamond. It is a "superhard" molecular rod, comprised of acetylene units.)

However the materials found in the wreckage seems to be over at least 150 times harder than a diamond and high melting point of 83,100 degrees as described in the top secret report to President Harry S. Truman in summer, 1948.

The team of researchers also described a diamond glass (even harder than diamond as stated earlier) cylinder core of 50 cm wide and 3 meters tall. Inside the cylinder there are 12 (2 inches wide) cubes rotating randomly inside the center core at a very random speed emitting some form of electrons.

The core eventually die out in 1970 in another Top secret report to President Richard Nixon.

According to the team of researchers in 1947, they suggested that the UFO might have been damaged through entering Earth's atmosphere. However this theory was over thrown in 1965 when another team of researchers suggested the Alien craft was already mostly destroyed in space and its wreckage was left drifting in space. The craft could have been in the space for thousand of years and eventually captured by Earth's gravitational pull which resulted the crashed on Earth.
According to carbon-14, the craft was between 10,000 to 12,000 years old.

None of the reports mentioned about finding aliens aboard the alien craft. However one particular report in 1948, shows strong evidence that the craft is a manned craft and it will require at least 4 crews to fly it. If there were crews on board where are they ? Have they escaped the crash ? Or they disintegrated when they expose to our atmosphere ? Much questions are raise but little are answered.

The secret team of researchers are known as "Sector 3", mainly because the team of researchers have special clearance in the 3 sector of military installment.

The Sector 3 is say to be non existence even to the FBI, people within sector 3 will have at least 3 identities. According to a hidden act - The Sector 3 Agent has the right to detain anyone that are suspected to be in contact with Extra-Terrestrial and will only release information base on "need to know" basis.

Sector 3 will only take orders from the president of the United States under very special circumstances. Currently there are at least 20 Sector 3 agents in NASA and SETI accordingly to the leaked source.

Your question is very interesting- I hope you watched the History channel about 2 months ago- they gave a documentary from papers recieved from the freedom of information act, that concerned the Roswel incident. According to their papers they got the Roswell incident actually happened. There were 3 survivors in the crash. One died within days, another died within 6 weeks and the other lasted 6 months. The space craft was taken to an air force base in Ohio.Dwight Eisinhower appointed a military commander to attempt to establish communication with the alien- and to get the space craft back engineered .The communication effort was successful, and the alien told them that the space ship traveled through space instantly from one part of space to another- We had no luck with the ship- the method of operating it was pretty unique- the alien used some type of band on his head and operated it with his mind-Ordinarily I would disregard all of this as entertainment, but this is the History Channel! You tend to believe the shows it puts on about past events, wars , and battles.It was very interesting, to say the least.

After working for NASA for nearly a decade, I can assure you it's not possible to keep a secret around here.
And "united" is right, especially where scientists are concerned. They tend to be a rather iconoclastic lot and generally thumb their noses at authority figures. It simply isn't possible to keep a bunch of scientists mouths shut about anything. They'll talk to other scientists, and then the word is out.

The answer is Simple: FREE ENERGY. That is what powers the UFO's and that is why it's kept secret. Could you imagine your own life without having to pay for energy. FREEDOM!!!! I know true believers can't be swayed, but for the open minded folks reading this question, there are at least two logical flaws to your thesis (well, most of your "facts" are made up, but we'll let that pass for now.")

First, you are suggesting that huge numbers of people have conspired to keep the greatest discovery in history secret. As Ben Franklin said, the only way three people can keep a secret is if two of them are dead. The idea that hundreds of scientists would keep this secret their entire lives is, frankly, beyond ludicrous.

Second, let's say NASA is keeping UFOs a secret...try this, call the nearest Air Force base or NASA office and tell them a UFO just crashed in your yard. Will government vehicles be swarming onto your property within an hour to cover up their secret? No, they will tell you to call the local police and hang up. And they may skip the call the police part.

Actually, re-reading your rant, your carbon 14 thing is complete nonsense. Carbon 14 dating only works on organic matter...and only works on EARTH!!!! You can't carbon date an extraterrestrial object. So even as science fiction your story would be rejected.
