My Windows Movie Maker software locks up on big projects. I have 1.00 GB of RAM. How much should I get?

I have a Dell computer, Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00 GHz, 2.99 GHz, 1.00 GB of Ram. It's a Dell and my Windows Movie Maker locks up when I try to edit big projects. What RAM upgrade should I get? Where, how much RAM, for how much money?

Assuming you have XP, since you have a P4 processor, I would still suggest at least 2Gb of RAM. I've got a P4 with Hyper Threading, and it runs Vista Home Premium superbly on a 1680x1050 monitor and 2.5Gb of OCZ gaming RAM.

Assumedly, you'll have DDR RAM because you have a P4 processor, and assuming you have a DESKTOP (this will not be correct for a laptop):

The more you spend on RAM, typically the faster it is. Also, matched pairs (2 sticks with the same amount of RAM in each stick) are *TYPICALLY* better than not.

I used the link to newegg that you sent me and bought the RAM. Will post once I put it in and see if it alleviates my problemo.
