Bad work experience, new job environment - fitting in? |
I just left a god aweful company that has been nearing the end for the past two years (finally went into bankruptcy last month) so I have been exposed to really low morale for a pretty long duration ontop of being thrown to the sharks with some really high-risk/high visibility projects, so as you can imagine, my whole perception of work is really scewed. I have an offer with a new, much better, much healthier company and I'm a little nervous about how quickly I'll adapt. I'm pretty used to being just used and abused and beat down by work, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has cured a similar "Stockholm Syndrome." How long did it take for you to return to normal? Your work is what you make it, the reason the other company failed could have been directly related to a losing attitude. If you want to get ahead you need to get the winning spirit and stick with it. That attitude is what make Tiger Woods so great, he refuses to lose or let anyone else drag him down. So be a Tiger and go for it full force. |
