Take apart my tv?

"risk of electric shock" sticker on the back is scaring me.

i want to use it for an art project.
the tv itself is only about 6 years old.
and is pretty small.

i want everything except the cables and such inside.
pretty much just the frame and the glass.

can you walk me through it?

Yes, you are probably safe if the TV has been off and unplugged for a few days. You can open it up and remove the "guts".

The problem with just using the frame or case and the "glass" is that TV's have a large picture tube (that is the "glass"). It is sealed and under pressure. You want to be careful with it. If you need just the case, maybe you can remove the picture tube and then put another piece of clear material in place of it where the picture would be.
