Does stress cause gray hairs and tooth decay?

i dont know if this is just a myth or not but I'm planning to do this for a science fair project. I've heard from a few people that this is true but does anyone know the story behind it? i really wonder how this could be possible. oh yeah and is this a good science topic for a seventh grader? or does this topic have no science to be discovered and that i should change my topic? HELP!

hmmm thats an interesting question...but how would you test that accurately in the short amount of time your given for your project?

but it might be a tough one for a 7th grader cuz u have A LOT of factors to consider. Like i have a friend who is young and gets a whole bunch of white hairs...but its due to some sort of chemical imbalance...(which could have been due to stress? idk) but you'd have to made sure all the testers are the same and stuff....and yeaaaahh. Like i said...lots and LOTS of factors for this experiment

My old friend think a lot and has a lot of white hair when he was only 14 years old. I don't know if it's genetic or not but about 10% of his hair turns white within two years while the rest stay black. And he had a bald spot on the back of his head. Haven't seen him since we parted way many many years ago but I imagine he must be some kind of professor now.

This would be too hard to test for a science project. Stress does not directly cause tooth decay. Maybe if stress causes someone to habitually grind or wear their teeth by chewing on something or cause them not to brush teeth or eat an unhealthy diet, than yes indirectly this can happen.
