Opinions please. is very long and hopefully going in the local newspaper

I wanted your opinions
Seriously, when I first heard Bremerton was going to put up intersection cameras to catch people who run red lights, two thoughts went through my mind. First, I didn鈥檛 know people actually ran a full red light in the middle of the night anymore, let alone the daytime for that matter. Even making an attempt could cause serious bodily injury to any unsuspecting driver but I was unaware of any accidents or deaths from a result of people blowing red lights. Secondly, I was surprised the city would be willing to invest so much money for camera鈥檚 just to help curb the so-called 鈥渞unning red light鈥?problems Bremerton was facing.

6 months later, after traveling through 6 cameras per day for school and seeing countless flashes of light for some of the least significant offenses in Bremerton鈥檚 history, I now realize it was just another plan designed specifically to raise revenue for the projects of liberals who run the City of Bremerton. I quickly learned that it was 鈥渕y鈥?definition of running red lights that demanded changing according to the government. It was no longer the spirit of the law but it became the letter of the law, or should I say the second of the law.

As the citizens of West Bremerton struggle to support their daily, liberals in government have been investing heavily on revenue like these to support their overbearing budgets. From a $13 million dollar boardwalk to a $30.7 million underground tunnel specifically designed for aesthetics. And while the civilian economy is all but non-existent in West Bremerton, liberals in government are finding creative ways to raise revenue by charging the poorest citizens in Kitsap County. Regardless of the source of the funds, whether Federal, City or State, Bremerton is joining the long line of liberal cities in this nation where the government is number 1 in every aspect of our lives. Unfortunately, their concept of government is people are supposed to serve the government. The reality is the other way around where the government serves the people. Government teaches this boldly when the nicest and most expensive building in all of Bremerton happens to be the City鈥檚 main office. While citizens are finding creative ways to scrounge up an extra $100 to pay for a ticket, liberals in government are looking for new sources of income for their next big project. The disenfranchisement is becoming apparent.

oops, wrong section

Dude, quit whining. If you stop running red lights you'll stop getting tickets. Cameras have no political affiliation and you sound like a big baby. Blah, blah, blah...

Man up and pay your stupid traffic tickets.

My I ask a question of you? What does this have to do with religion?

EDIT- just realized you realized it was in the wrong section.

Bill Clinton left office with a $200 billion budget surplus.

G. W. Bush had a $200 billion deficit after 2 years in office.

Who do you think is more liberal?

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? You want to kill all the liberals in your town?? I don't know where West Bremerton is either but It's an ok letter.

First off, I can't see the religious implications from this issue.

I am an Atheist

Hello Philip, I live in Bellevue, just across the Sound! That is a problem we have not had as yet, because the City Counsel has voted it down twice, but as Bellevue becomes more and more elitist, I am sure that is on the agenda again. This is not the city I grew up in, it has changed so much, and the changes are not gong to stop any time soon. The average citizen here is being pushed out in favor of the more 'elite,' people with much more money, and more influence. This too sucks! I am so sorry that there are problems in Bremerton, it is a beautiful city, and the historic aspects are really special. Unfortuantely, because of the Naval Base in your neighborhood, you have more Federal influence than we do, and that can't be any fun, or easy to deal with either. I wish you luck, and it is nice to know the there is a fellow (member) close by, to help me with these anit-mormon people!
