I need a topic for my project on world issues?

here's the main directions:

Pick an area in our world or a community in our country that you were most interested in during our studies for this class
(middle east, Africa, U.S.)

Pick an issue or problem that this area is facing.

Research this area, the issue/problem, and what some people may have already started doing to perhaps alleviate some of these problems

yeah then basically we're supposed to create a poster on a step by step plan of our own, how we would try to help. and give our organization a name.



Can someone please give me an issue in the world that i can make my project about? ... for example some people are doing their project on the LRA children in Africa (invisible children), puppy mills in the US, etc.

You should do something on "honor killings.鈥?Which are widespread among fundamentalist Muslim families. Europe is experiencing a rash of these killings involving fathers who kill their wives or their daughters over cultural clashes. Thousands, of women are murdered by their families each year, this is actually happening in the U.S. as well. If you do decided to do this, make sure you hit them hard with graphic photo's.

How about my very own country England.

50 years ago, "Made in England" was a badge of pride. Now nearly all the goods are made elsewhere, the English factories just heaps of rubble earmarked for shopping malls or executive housing, the old smoke stacks now belching out fumes in China. The last glass blower in Dudley shut up shop last year. The Royal Worcester pottery is now becoming a stylish apartment block, the crockery bearing its name now being produced not in Worcester, but in Eastern Europe.

Why is this, and what effect is it having on the new industrial nations, on transportation of goods, global warming and the supply and price of oil, and also on those who have missed the boat?

The organisation to address this... how about Fairtrade?
