My husband has been referred to a cardiologist...?

He has high cholesterol and pre-diabetic. He has been having sharp short chest pains once daily. He says they are lasting longer. I'm thinking to call his doctor on Monday and notify his doctor. I'm really concerned because he is a work-a-holic and works long hours day and night in a very high-stress environment. Now he wants to travel out of country to go work with a friend on project that he has nearly completed but the friend is a work-a-holic that will suck all the energy that he can out of my husband. I'm concerned because this friend has proven himself unreliable and I'm scared that if my husband was having problems that the friend wouldn't do anything to help not even get a doctor. I'm seriously thinking to call my brother-in-law this weekend to get him to talk my husband out of going since my husband isn't scheduled to see the cardiologist until after the planned trip. My husband is 36 years old and not overweight at all. What should I do? Any advice?

You should discuss this with a doctor. Those chest pains could be anything from overworking skeletal muscles to stomach problems to heart issues.

If you don't mind traveling further you could probably get the appointment with the cardiologist moved up. Between the cardiologist and the initial test he/she may order, it won't take up more than a couple hours of your husband's time.

get him to the doctor immediatly! my bf's father had a heart attack at 36 and has required a pacemaker ever since. now he is 56 and having alot of trouble. he was a workaholic (realtor) and very stressed. They told him he should have been there sooner. Good luck

Please Please call a doctor for him
