Why is the NYC Transit Authority allowing terrorists to place ads on subways?

http://www.nypost.com/seven/07212008/new...

Save your breath about the First Amendment. I'm fairly confident a handbill proclaiming "Heil Hitler" wouldn't have been allowed on a NYC subway in 1943, and this shouldn't be allowed today.

"Siraj Wahhaj, the inflammatory imam who appears in a promotional YouTube video for the project, has defended convicted bomb-plotters and called the FBI and CIA the 'real terrorists'."

"US Attorney Mary Jo White even named Wahhaj one of 170 unindicted co-conspirators in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the thwarted plan to blow up a slew of buildings."

These people have declared war on not just the United States, but Western Civilization. Why are we giving them a forum to spout their filth?

Adam: No, I do not believe the First Amewndment protects the right of an enemy to publish items in the US during a war they themselves declared against us. One of the main problems with leftists is that they let their philosophy stand in the way of self-preservation.

This is just some more Political Correctness which WILL bring down this Country. The same thing began in England, and look at their mess to date, now some Muslims want their Sharia Law for Muslims. Something is NOT right with this picture. I have no problems with peaceful Muslims, HOWEVER IF they have immigrated legally into this Country, then they should also ASSIMILATE to our ways. The Muslim religion IS also a form of Government. OUR GOVERNMENT SHOULD RULE IN THIS COUNTRY.

I would like to add, there has begun an investigation into many Muslim private schools since many have been found to teach hatred against Americans and those unlike themselves IN THEIR TEXT BOOKS. One instance I know for sure is a Muslim school in the DC area. This should never be, not in this Country.

You can hate our constitution all you want, it says free speech and that means free speech. If we can waive the first amendment in times of "war", why not the fourth amendment as well? You are like one of those Patriot Act supporters who uses the fear of terrorism to justify oppression of Americans' rights.

Maybe with a little education people can stop and think about things before they react and call all Islam terrorists and stop giving into the fear mongering perpepuated by our current administration. I aplaud them for their choices. To compare what they're doing to what the Nazi's did is ignorant and too simple. They're doing the right thing, no matter how resistant to education the people may be. Does the fact that they are trying the right choice now mean nothing?

The thought is sickening. It is another ad saturation campaign, this one to encourage people to convert to Islam (not a chance). They are pursuing the Obama tactic - out-spend by 4 to 1 ads designed to brainwash in a repetitive, constant stream of propaganda, all the brainless Americans who will go along to get along, without question.

I hope someone just spray paints them all.

The same way we have had KKK members run and get elected to congress. We can't pick and choose when to abide by the constitution. Freedom of religion and speech.

The CIA is a terrorist group! What are covert activities other than terrorist plots?

The new york post is a tabloid, though. I would bring my salt shaker along if I read them.

This is proof that the political correctness stuff is a bunch of Crap. I hope the FBI, and CIA should keep close tabs on these guys.

and obama wants to get rid of nukes?

smoke'em if ya got'em
they will have to take away my gun's first!

If you don't believe in the First Amendment then you're not much of an American. The ads do nothing but stump for Islam. They don't encourage violence. They don't express hate for anyone or anything. I think Islam is just as silly as most other religions, but in the USA all religions are equally protected. Don't like it? Move.

And by the by, that same US Attorney said that not everyone on that list was a suspect in the attacks.

Edit: "An enemy"? You do know that Siraj Wahhaj is a US citizen, right? Native born, in fact. If you can convict him of something, then try him. If you can't convict him of anything then he has the same rights as anyone else. The Constitution applies to everyone, whether you like the message or not. If you believe that the Constitution applies to some US citizens more than others, then you don't believe in America. So what are you doing here?

Edit: Normally when people resort to name-calling I take it as a sign that they cannot argue for their side, because they know they're defeated. Thanks!
