Science project? Need experiments. HELP!!!?!!???

This year in our schools science fair we HAVE to do a science project that run test on a living specimen (no plants) I am planning to do it on my dog,ferret and parrot. The problem is that know what kind of tests to run. I might think about comparing each species intelligence level and comparing them to its own species to see what each species is good at e.g. memory,problem solving, and reading emotions.
I need tests that wont trigger their instincts and body parts like a dogs nose.

Thats a very good test to run on them. You can also try teaching them tricks, and see which animal learns the trick fastest.
