Science fair project about room temperatures and test scores! Need Suggestions/feedback/etc?

For my biology class i have to do a science fair project with a speech and essay and lab report, etc etc.

For my project, i decided that i wanted to test how well people are able to think, and how well the score on tests, under different temperatures.

I was planning to test each people under three conditions, the normal room temperature, a warmer, and a colder temperature!

For the colder temperature, if i cannot change the room temperature, or can but not enough, i was thinking of having the test subjects have their feet in cold water for 3 minutes before they take the test, or possibly even while they take the test. I was also considering having them have a bag of ice on their head.

For the warm temperature i'd possibly do it the same way as the cold test, but with warm watter and maybe a heated pack.

I would use 3 tests that are similar in content, but different questions. I also thought it might be a good idea to ask each person tested which temp. they belive they do best in.

For this experiment the Independent variable would be the hot and cold tests, the dependent variable would be the persons score on the warm/cold test, and the control would be the persons score on the normal test.

Please correct me if that would be wrong!

Your sample is going to need to be pretty large--as your clarification indicates, some people prefer to be in warm vs. cool rooms. You may want to revise the question/problem to see whether people perform best under conditions in which they prefer....
