My top managers are always complaining about why i am so slow. how should i react?


I am computer programmer and hanged on single project for about 8 months. i wan't be able to promote to take the position of my manager who leave the company because of this project. this project was never done before in the company and no one can continue the job i am doing. so they are so dependant on me. the manager replaced is fully incompetent and to me will cause the company to be ended up to closure. i brought this manager to company actually he was living in my neighbore they never even taken my idea into consideration before completion of the project.my tought always fluctuate. and i cannot concentrate well. is it my problem or it is the problem of company?

It is understandable. noway it is hurdle in your life you have to suffer that and come out successful.

You are in charge of your life and your destiny. If you are unhappy where you are, you have the power to look for another job and move on. If it is affecting you, then it is your problem and you are the person who needs to do something about it. Life is too short and precious to waste it doing things that make us miserable. If I were you, I would simply start looking for a new job.

Nobody can argue any of these phrases, very "Company "sounding.

Well, is your company is closed, of course it's your problem. And if your managers depend only on you and yet still complain about your working, offer them to leave. Maybe it's you who made them sound like it, but they really sound like idiotic arseholes.

First off, understanding your problem is well, a problem in itself. You need to search and speak to your colleagues about your problem and see if they have a solution. However, basing my opinion solely off of your "question," I would have to say this is a problem within yourself. You need to take away any outside distractions in your office and out of your mind whenever you start another portion of your 'project.' I feel that you may worry too much on the stance of others rather than on the position of yourself and the job in which you are to be setting out to do.

You say that the project is taking a long time, good first step in the realization of the problem. However, you cannot pass the blame on to somebody else. Your success is determined by your ability to put distractions aside, step over obstacles, and go outside the boundaries of normal work to show that you are WILLING and ABLE to complete projects in a timely manner and competent to work through hard times and trials.

Looking within yourself, and even searching for methods to do so will create a better standing presence within the company and in the eyes of others (including your superiors).

It sounds like you need to go somewhere where you will be more appreciated. I believe all of us have had bad managers and, unfortunately, it's tough to get around this problem. They're very unlikely to change and you'll just have to deal with it if you stay.

When you find something else, let your company know and see if they'll make a counteroffer. If, as you say, the company is dependent upon you for the project, then you have a nice bargaining chip with your current company for either salary or a change in leadership over the project. If the manager is indeed incompetent, they'll probably have noticed this and more willing to make a change.
