Role of a project manager

We will have an activity simulating a start-up meeting for a development project. The project is about proposing a development on a piece of land and planning, doing market research etc till the completion of construction. My position will be a project manager. the project is still at the initiation phase and we just came out with site analysis, and a little idea about the thing going to developed. We are required to present during the start-up meeting. I don't know what shall I say about my task, or anything else a project manager might say during a meeting. Anyone has any suggestion?

Create a PIT (project Initiation plan) and present the mandate which I assume you already received by now.

Gather all the documents, business case and information you received concerning this future project. Consolidate what you have to one solid result document.... which you can base your pit on.

Look on the Internet for the format and basics of a pit. I use the PRINCE2 methodology

The first thing you have to present the stakeholders or in your first meeting is a PPT presentation where you summarize all the above and your approach how deal with the project (time, organization, etc...)
