How should I handle this |
My boss seems to take turns giving us managers a "hard time". Well, now it's me. I get yelled at for doing what she, or another supervisor, has told me to do. She acts like I'm stupid for working on a certain project, when I was told I had two days to finish this project. Handle it professionally......do not fight back directly... but can hit her with sidekick of action. Try to make her learn her lesson. You should talk to your manager and tell her that you do not feel comfortable being yelled at in front of everyone and that as a Professional she should respect you and pull you aside personally to discuss this. Theres some law against that, I cant remember what it is... discrimantion against employees or something... You should just ask her to be more professional... KINDLY... But wait until she at least looks a little more calm. I had to do this once and it still didnt stop so I walked out... I had another time where it happened where I pulled her aside and she did it a couple more times but then I went over her head and she quit. First of all I would talk your boss and tell them politely to stop. If they can't handle respecting you then go to the person above them. If her boss thinks you did a perfect job then why not talk to her. Praying helps too. I think the first thing you should do is talk to your manager about the way she is treating you. secondly if that does not work go higher up... dont let her treat you like crap and get away with it It's so hard to know how to approach situations like this. You can't ever really be sure why you're being treated badly by another person. I have had to pull aside a number of co-managers for trying that whole humiliate you in front of the troops thing. I must admit, usually it was a male vs. female dynamic being played out. |
