History Robert E, Lee civil war?

help! i have been working on my history project. everybody was given a "baseball analogy" about their person, and we are supposed to carck the code. mine is:

Manager - Robert E. Lee. Aggressive; not afraid to take risks. Lee gets along well with both the players and the front office, but who was it that said "Nice guys don't finish first?"

im trying very hard to crack some of these codes, can you help??!

Basically it means that Lee was in the general in charge of the confederate army. He often pursued aggresive strategies to win the Civil War. He was popular with both the soldiers and the Confederate Government. Despite all this, he still lost.
