What must you major in to have a profession in project management???

You can major in anything you like. To have a career in project management you don't necessarily need any specific certification. However, if you want to be certified by the PMI (Project Management Institute), you will need to have:

- a high school diploma
- 7,500 hours in a position of responsibility leading and directing specific tasks and 60 months of project management experience
- 35 hours of training from a certified trainer

Once you have the above requirements, you'll just need to pass an exam!

I believe that you can have any degree. Of course, most projects are business oriented.

Once you are finished your degree, look into the PMI - Project Management Institute. The certification you are after is the PMP - Project Management Professional.

Check the PMI website... I am sure all the details you could possibly want are on there.

what you major in at college does not really matter.
although you could think about doing an MBA after you graduate.

Its the team leader, supervisory and management experience that decides if you get to become a project manager
