Which type(s) of organization structure is most suitable for project management? Resons?

I would pick Matrix Organization and Collocated Matrix as my answer, but can anyone tell me the advantages of these two organizations. can you tell me the details of Collocated Matrix?

There is no real right answer to this quesion - it depends on the organization and the number of projects they have to work on.

The standard organization structures that are most often quoted are Functional, Weak Matrix, Balanced Matrix, Strong Matrix, and Projectized Matrix. This last two are probably most appropriate for most organizations working on a large number of projects, but there are disadvantages to both.

The term collocation doesn't really refer to an organizational structure as much as it means having the project team in the same physical location - which could be done in any of the organizational structures.
