Can you help me: What is the Differentiation between Software Project Management and Software Engineering?

Simplistically:

Software project management means saying what you want the software to do then coordinating the resources to get the programs written.

Software engineering would be actually writing the programs.

The manager tells the engineer what the desired result is... the engineer makes it happen.

A software project manager is the person responsible at managing the project. He makes sure that the project is going as scheduled, he allocates time and resources, determines the priorities, and communicates with the team and client. He oversees the overall progress of the project. Project managers should be a team player and has good managerial skill.

The software engineer designs the software process. He plans how the software should run. In short, he draws out the foundation and structure of the software. They do not necessarily code the programs of the software.
