What factors should a company consider before deciding to use outsourced project management resources?

Time Cost and Quality - can they provide the services as and when you want them - will it be good enough - will it be cheaper than providing the service in-house (allowing for staff time and overheads) etc. You will be paying themprofit, but not 'carrying' the service for the times you don't need it - so it is a fine balance.

Cost, time and if it will affect the companies competitive advantage.

You can probably include employee morale, stability of possible companies to hire (to which project management is outsourced) and opinion of stakeholders.

Dude....I work for a company that just now decided to outsource alot of services...and to be honest...if you can afford or have the means to....keep things within your employees. In my opinion...it makes for a stronger company. The world in general needs to do less outsourcing...we'd all be in better shape I think
