I teach a management course at a JC and I am looking for a fun, interesting project to assign. Ideas? I agree, having a business plan for something they think will make money might be a fun way to show how involved business can be. They need the idea, a budget and cash flow, operations plan, marketing plan and other items. Seems pretty relevant, and they will better understand small business afterr the project. have like a sale of some sort (garage sale, candy, blah blah blah) and profits go to school stuff or a charity maybe.. =P Ask the students to manage a huge party in class. assign one person to bring the booze, someone else to manage the joints and other specific tasks to each student. Not only will they love the project but they will love you for the assignment how about a business plan...from the statement to the end product...we had to do that in college...figure out a business that was need in the area and go with it...i have a bs in business..mgmt concentration Get students to study how you can make money surfing the internet. Ask them to manage their change or what they eat ;p ...and you're the teacher? |
