How to Market or advertise small consulting business?

I own a small IT consulting firm, can some one please tell me whats the best method to market my consulting firm, i am tying to get some project for my company, i have a large group of RND people waiting for work and we also outsource the project in india as well.

I always accept direct marketing at work, sometimes you dont know u need something until someone offers you it. Also, people always think it will cost them a lot more than what they think. Try to look for companies in your area with business's that are in the field you want to start in, and approach them, the only thing they can say is no, so what!!! I would suggest you have some products to offer however, rather than, hi, I want work. Good luck.

Ask for referrals from your current customers.
