Can you plate brass over nickel? |
I have some nickel plated items (presumably steel underneath); my question is, can I dip/brush my brass solution on directly over them? Or do I have to remove the nickel finish? Sorry for my lack of plating knowledge/terms. yes you can plate brass over nickel, make sure nickel is really clean, when the brass covering has dried paint a layer of clear lacquer over it and let it air dry, you can use finger nail polish |
