I have a second interview on monday with a sales and marketing company, any knowledge you can share? |
Does anyone work in a job like this, any advice? IT DEPENDS WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BE SELLING, BUT A GOOD SKILL IS THAT IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO SELL WHAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE IS THE SALES PERSON. LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU BUILD UP RAPPORT WITH THE CLIENT. GET A POINT IN COMMON WITH THEM. If they called you for the second interview, it means they loved you. Be confident, you will get it. Hate to tell you this but, work for someone else. You'll be trudging door to door in the throwing rain. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true - it probably is. what you selling---- or are you just going to market !!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will ask about compentency questions Well done you been looking for a while so good to see some progress. Go in and close close close. If you have too beg for the job do because this is what you should be doing with customers to get them to deal with you. I don't mean beg in a self deprecating way but find the smallest reason why they won't decide and ask why. Ask for the job at least three times before you leave the interview and always try to overcome their objections before you leave. Think about the sort of responses you will get when you ask for the job before you get there, they are gonna say they have others to interview, so ask if they didn't have others would you get the job, etc etc etc. good luck If they tell you that it is going to be a whole day interview and you will be going around with one of the employees, this might not be the job for you. Take it from experience, the job turns out to be door to door sales with your pay just being commission. If this is what you want to do, then great, but if you find out that when you get there or in the first 30 mins of the interview that is what is it, tell me to take you back. It will end up being a horrible day. Its better to end it before it gets to late. I am a past Sales and marketing manager /international.Retired many years, but what I would be looking for is someone with confidence, and not frightened to ask questions of the interviewer, speak as you normally do, -do not try to be someone you are not-, it will show through these interviewers if they are worth their salt will be aware of your nervousness, and should allow for that. good luck to you my friend |
