Whats it like in boot camp for a girl in the marines?

Im 17 right now and i feel if i don't get accepted to my one college that being a marine is a good opportunity for me. im interested in financial management..my boyfriend is leaving in a few months for boot camp..but he says i wouldnt be able to handle it..any girls out there that would like to share their knowledge? Thanks :) You can email if you want..

What I have been told by veterans of navy, army, air force , and marines is that Marine boot camp is the most physically demanding, and the longest. You will suffer more in Marine basic training than in any other basic training. You very well may not be able to handle it.

If I were you, I would check out Air Force or Navy. I'm a female, and I would love to join the Navy. However, I'm too old.

It's pretty rough, but if you've got confidence and self-respect, you'll survive it easily enough. Mostly a lot of exercise, drill, and yelling. My wife survived it (before she was my wife), even making Molly Marine. After boot, she went on to damage the ligament in her knee and they wouldn't let her stay in. So she changed careers and became a model (which was when I met her). So if a model can survive it, you can, too. It's more a matter of attitude than anything else.

I'm with Autumn. I saw that documentary also. Very good.
But just in case you don't get around to seeing it.. one piece of advice..don't lie to the recruits about taking drugs. It's not fun to go through two months of marine boot camp just to get kicked out at the end because you lied about smoking pot.
That was rough. I felt sorry for the girl..

There is a really good documentary on the Military channel about a group of females going thru boot camp. Sure you could find it on their website. It was based at Paris Island... it would answer a lot of ur questions.

can't share my knowledge but wth? girls could so handle it.. we would prob. handle it better.. we have to go through so much ****.. pregnancy.. child birth.. pms.. periods and cramps from hell.. and so on and so on.. PFFT we can't handle it HA

For one, start capitalizing the term Marines!!

All you need to know is that there is 8 miles of dick on Parris Island... And for 13 weeks you won't see an inch!!!
