Internet Business Idea

I have been brainstorming for the last year on deciding what I want to see online. I keep hitting dead ends after researching the niche I want to pursue which always turns out to me saturated with competitors and very, very high barriers to entry.

I got that cash to invest, but need help generating some ideas where I can dig in deeper to determine profit potential.

Anyone fellow Yahoo'ers want pitch a few things to me? Like 1-2 lines on something you know is a good idea -but obviously don't want to pursue it yourself.

p.s. and yes you get a cut if it works!

Thanks.

**SPELLING ERROR

I meant to say "Sell Online" not See!

Hi,One of the easiest ways of making money on the internet is to set yourself up as an affiliate. But it doesn't mean to say that you sign up with every single affiliate program and then spam everyone!

The best affiliate programs are the ones that give you good promotional material, not just banner ads, but brandable eBooks and reports for example where you imbed your affiliate link inside and ones that give you specific step-by-step instructions on how to promote.

Here's a very good tattoo affiliate program that I'm using that's making me about $50 a day;

Hi Jake,

For starters, the other answerers above me are promoting referral links to make money off of you. So, take what they recommend with a huge grain of salt.

Now, as far as an online business - it boils down to two things:

"Internet Marketer"
or
"Affiliate Marketer"

The "internet marketer" sells their own product/service.
An "affiliate marketer" sells the "internet marketers" product as an "affiliate".

For example, you could go to amazon.com, shop.com, hp.com, spoofcard.com, target.com - any site really, and sign up as an affiliate. You send them a sale using your "referral link" (like these other guys are trying to do to you), then you would get a commission.

Most big affiliates that know what they're doing sign up with an affiliate network such as cxdigital.com, azoogleads.com, cpaempire.com, cj.com, etc.

The network gives you access to hundreds of different of "offers" or "merchants" to promote.

When it comes to promoting these offers, the big affiliates will use paid traffic, which usually comes from PPC (Pay Per Click) search engines such as Google AdWords, MSN AdCenter, Yahoo Search Marketing, etc. An affiliate might spend $20,000 a month in clicks, and make $40,000 back in commissions, thus a profit of $20,000.

There are free traffic methods, but those "usually" take much longer to generate. These include maybe youtube videos, article marketing, and communities such as forums, and even this (even though not really allowed).

If you choose to be an internet marketer, and not an affiliate - you can sign up with an affiliate network and have affiliates promote your product. However, your success will depend on the product you're promoting, if you get immediate revenues to support paying your affiliates, and of course how many, if any affiliates promote your product/service.

That's about it - in a nutshell. There is something called dropshipping, which means you have your own website (like amazon.com) - and when people order from your site, you may charge $50.00, and then you re-route the order to the original merchant, and pay $45.00 for it, thus a profit of $5. But again, that's a bit more difficult to implement, and not as profitable as just promoting the same product as an affiliate and having more simple landing pages (websites).

Message me if you have any questions!

Hope that helps and good luck!
