What are your suggestions on internet businesses?

My father is struggling financially and hopes to start up an internet business. I am worried about him falling prey to scams from people only seeking to take money through lies. I promised him I would research further on it and found out that the few sites he was hoping to purchase were frauds as well, simply from reviews of many other real people.

Basically his plans are to begin selling things online, or even doing store and restaurant critiques for money. He wants to start up an internet store and eventually begin to sell unique products he recieves from places like the Philippines.

So my question is, are there ANY reliable programs that help you get started in this type of business? I'd really like to help him start this off before I head off to college because I am concerned for him. What suggestions do you have? Where can I get legit reviews for internet programs, and are there any of you with real experience in this?

I have found a very simple and effective website that offers free tips to different legit ways to make money online. They always keep these programs updated so that there is never an "old" or "sour" program. They also offer a book to a marketing system that is unlike any I have seen. They teach you how to find the RIGHT products to promote (not the most popular), the way to track it's credibility, teached you how to build your website, and then discusses ways to market the product using genuine marketing techniques. If you want to help look for some of these warning signs,
-If a company has their hand out asking for you to pay up front it is not a good sign.
-If they ask you to carry large amounts of inventory that you may never get your money back from.
-If you never actually talk to a person and they hide behind an internet facade.
-You should never have a bad feeling about what you are doing, if you feel pressured or anxious after sleeping on it, it is NOT what you are looking for.
