Where or how to file a DBA ("doing business as")?

Does it make a difference where you file for a DBA if you have an internet business that doesn't have a real base? (i.e. maybe I'd work from home in one state but ship products from another state?) Also, do you have a good lead (website?) where to file for a DBA? I know there are sites on the web, I just don't know how many are reliable.

You file for DBA thru your Clerk of Superior Court through your county . There may be a small fee (which i paid only 29.25 to get my online business name registered as DBA) I live in Georgia. Hopes this helps.

All you have to do it go to your states website. All of the nfo will be there.
