Is there an information technology labor shortage in the U.K.? Will the U.K. import labor from the U.S? |
I will have a Bachelors Degree and four years experience in the I.T. field in January, 2009. I'd like to spend some time working and living in Great Britain. I currently live in the U.S. Is the U.K. experiencing a labor shortage? If so, are employers willingly sponsoring vistas for immigrant workers? What other areas of employment are experiencing such shortages at the present? From what I've heard, there seems always to be a shortage of skilled workers in the IT sector. YOU will need a Masters Degree to qualify for a sponsored visa in the uk. People who have a specialised skill to offer i suppose there is always a shortage. Only if they learn to spell 'labour' correctly! NO Sorry, no. We're only importing from Africa at the moment. Well that's how it looks to me! |
