How To Get a New Information Technology Job...?

The job that I was offered fell through & it was too late to keep my job per they hired my replacement & had me traing them for the position (I work in I.T.). So I ended up w/ no job & went 3 wks b4 I was able to find another job.

The problem? I took a job making 12,000 less than what I was previously making & to make it worst, I hate my new position. It's a entry level helpdesk job & I have 6 yrs experience in the field(plus the mgmt is questionable). Now I'm looking 4 another job. I'm open to staffing services, but now I don't know what 2 say. Recruiters keep asking why I left my job 4 the new crappy job. I tell them the truth about what happened but so far this has gotten me know where.

What should I say?

Should I tell them the new job I thought I had fail through & now I'm unemployed?
Or
Tell them about the new crappy job per I was at the other job for 4 yrs & I've been @ the new job for 2 months - R they going 2 look @ this as a unstable wk history? Help!!!!!!!!!!!
