My brother-in-law has done Oracle APPS and work as ERP manager......I can furnish more details from him if you give me your brief Resume.....email me through ANSWERS.....

Both are great ERP... You cannot go wrong with SAP or Oracle.
You need a system to learn how it works. I don't know for Oracle but SAP gives licenses SAP Basis which are legal and free.
